Announcements from FC Knoll

Tonight I'm reading from Ocean's Laughter as part of the Free-Range Poetry Series at the Thurman Street Multnomah County Library (2300 NW Thurman) along with Tom Hogan and Tiel Aisha Ansari. An open mic at 6:30 starts the evening and we'll be done reading by 7:45 for the library to close on time at 8pm

Some poems take a long time to write and get a lot of help from others. An Elemental List of Questions is one of those poems, now up in Another Place Journal. The theme of this issue is Reimagining. My thanks to Anne Fisher-Wirth.

Two of my poems, "Darwin's Piano Forte" and "If I Could Come Back" are in the current issue of Written River - A Journal of Eco-Poetics. It's a print journal -- and one of the loveliest I know of in format and photography.

If you've seen Oregon Shakespeare Festival's production of River Bride, you may be interested in my poetic response to this moving play  "Late Afternoon Under the Weeping Willow"   on ekphrastic.net. Ekphrastic work points to when one creation reacts to another work of art.

I wrote a guest blog for Trish Hopkinson's blog on poetry (a fine resource for poets) on what it means to have waited until after retirement to get serious about poety. https://trishhopkinson.com/2016/06/05/the-card-says-poet-guest-blog-post-by-tricia-knoll/ or you can read it as noted in email below..

My contribution this month to Flora's Forum, a garden-green blog about dandelions in Vermont.
