“Night’s Course” by Sierra July, Frequent Contributor

Night’s Course
Sierra July

Darkness dwells on a ship
Where many sailors sleep
It creeps around the crow’s nest
Beams when it reaches the bay

Poet’s Notes: This is a horror that leaves the reader guessing. Is the threat an evil person, disease, a monster, or darkness itself?
