Poem of the Day: “white winter wishes” by Lauren McBride, Frequent Contributor and Poet of the Week

Songs of Eretz Poetry Review is pleased to present “white winter wishes” by Lauren McBride, a Songs of Eretz Frequent Contributor and this week's Poet of the Week.  A biography of Mrs. McBride may be found in the “About Our Editor & Frequent Contributors” section.

white winter wishes
Lauren McBride

snow
snowman
snowflakes -
softly falling

skiing
skating
sledding -
simply sliding

white
winter
wishes -
southern dreaming

Poet’s Notes: Snow in the deep south is a major event, bringing traffic to a standstill and people flocking to the windows - but if it happens on a school day, shame on any teacher who keeps the children inside!
