Poetry Review Special Feature: "Twenty-four Years Wed" by the Editor

Twenty-four Years Wed
Steven Wittenberg Gordon
For Alison

The wind carries
your scent to me
no matter how far away
picking up the perfume
of wild flowers
songs of birds
and the many colors
of the rays of the sun
refracted through
the pregnant clouds.
The beating of my heart
adjusts its pace
to match yours.
I turn toward you and smile
as the warmth of your love
flows through me.
