Review of "A Tyrant Seeks Conclusion in the Known Self" by Emily Kendal Frey

"A Tyrant Seeks Conclusion in the Known Self" by Emily Kendal Frey was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on December 17, 2013.  A link to the poem, including the poet's notes, may be found here:

The poem takes the form of 62 stanzas of one line each.  Punctuation is lacking, so one line may flow into the other or not, depending upon how one reads.

The poem begins with the first person narrator, presumably the poet, making her breakfast as she reminisces about a trip to California where she lost her wallet.  The scene then shifts to an airplane on which the narrator is a passenger.  Here, the narrator's mind wanders as she tries to reconcile the thrill of flying with the fear of crashing.
