Review of "The Poster Girl's Defence" by Carolyn Wells

The poem consists of six rhyming quatrains in which the poet has an imaginary conversation with a poster girl (a drawing of a girl on a poster).  The poet at first is critical of the poster girl, but the poster girl defends herself by listing all of the vices and trivialities that she does not (and cannot) commit by dint of being a static figure on a poster.  The poster girl's arguments change the poet's mind only to a degree--the poet still insists that the poster girl is ugly.
