Review of "Evangelize Your Love" by Jillian Weise

"Evangelize Your Love" by Jillian Weise was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on November 15, 2013.  A link to the poem, including the poet's notes, may be found here:

Jillian Weise (b. 1981) teaches at Clemson University.  She was the recipient of the 2013 James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets.  A detailed biography may be found here:

The poem appears to be a free verse compressed summary of the life and love of a married couple with a sixteen-year-old son.  The life of the family falls into a dull routine, represented in the poem by various phrases in quotation marks.  The spark has definitely gone out of the marriage.
