Review of "Avoid Adapting Other People's Negative Views" by Sharon Dolin

"Avoid Adapting Other People's Negative Views" by Sharon Dolin, a teacher at The New School, was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on November 6, 2013.  A link to the poem, including the poet's notes, may be found here:

The poem consists of seven semi-rhyming or rhyming couplets.  Thus, the poet is at least giving a nod to the sonnet form.  The poet plays with words, finding words within words that have a different, more positive meaning:  "Be the cat in catastrophe," and "of morose / always pull out the rose," for examples.
