Review of "What's the railroad to me?" by Henry David Thoreau

What's the railroad to me? by Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862) was offered by Poet.org's Poem-A-Day on July 20, 2013.  The poet was skeptical about technology.  I wonder how he would feel about the advances of the current era if the railroad bothered him so much?
