At only 100 words in length, "24 December 2087" is my first ever science fiction micro-flash piece. There is definitely a crossover between micro-flash and prose-poetry--sometimes it is just a matter of presentation (verse vs. standard prose). This particular piece, I think, will not translate into a poem. It is a fast-paced sci-fi explosion with a wow ending.
