New Poem: robin in winter

My latest poem, robin in winter, is a mainstream, traditional, 5-7-5 haiku inspired by a walk with my Airedale terrier through a park this morning; it is my third bird-themed haiku.  In upstate New York where I was raised, robins disappear in the winter months but return each year as the heralds of spring.  In Kansas, robins are year-round residents, but, even after the many years I have lived on the prairie, seeing a robin in winter still feels like a rare treat.
